I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in British and American Literature from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio. I earned a Master of Arts degree in English Writing from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Experience
I want to be a tutor because I want to help cultivate a love of reading and writing in young people. I set my teaching pace at a rate the student can understand and progress through the material. I have been a professional tutor for three years, and have worked with a variety of ages and abilities in reading and writing. I am a freelance writer and have published numerous articles in local, Wisconsin statewide, and national publications. I am the author of The time the Earth Shook, a young adult historical fiction novel about the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. I am the playwright of "Time to Fly," a one-act play performed in West Allis, Wisconsin.
