Experience
I have taught Latin for one year to 4th-8th graders and really enjoy working with students one on one so I can assess their strengths and the areas that need improvement. I love Latin and value its historical significance and the impact it has had on our language. I have read works from Cicero, Caesar, Catullus, Propertius, Tibullus, Ovid, and Virgil in Latin. I also have taken Ancient Greek. The highly inflected nature of ancient languages makes understanding them like solving a puzzle and once you approach it like that it becomes a fun challenge. The main reason I want to be a tutor is to help students reach their maximum potential. I also want to teach students to love Latin as much as I do. One of the most interesting and amazing opportunities I had while earning my Latin and Classics degree was a chance to excavate an ancient bath house in Italy and an ancient temple in Cyprus.

I love to run and even coached long distance track. I enjoy music and singing. I have a passion for fashion and a slight shoe addiction. Reading is one of my favorite leisure activities and my favorite genres are historical fiction and sci. fi./adventure books.
