Experience
I attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Cardinal Stritch University, and have worked as an elementary and middle school teacher for over 25 years. While I've taught many different subject areas, my focus lately has been on Math and Science. I believe that every student has different learning styles and needs that need to be addressed in order for them to achieve educational success. Math is a subject I enjoy teaching because, while many students struggle to master the concepts of problem-solving in math subjects, I'm able to break down concepts into manageable pieces. My teaching method incorporates many different strategies and philosophies that align with the student's individual need so that they have a better chance at understanding the concepts and methods needed to break through the barriers in learning. As a Math and Science teacher, I'm an idyllic tutor for many subjects, including Arithmetic, Elementary and Middle School Math, Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth Science.When I'm not teaching, I enjoy a quiet walk, diving into a murder mystery or detective novel, or just working on a sewing or home repair project.
