Hello! My name is Rachel and currently I attend University of Milwaukee Wisconsin as a Junior in college. There, I study English, International Studies and Peace and Conflict Resolution. My hope is to use these majors to become an International Teacher and teach children in other countries to speak English!

Experience

I have a deep passion for all things English; reading, writing and literature are high up on my hobby list. I have always loved learning and more than anything, I feel that children need to have a deep learning experience. My dream of teaching comes from this desire to teach and allow children to discover all of their confidence, love and ability to become sufficient in reading and writing. My desire to become an international teacher occurred to me when I was studying abroad in Germany; I feel that I realized how important language is to an individual culture. Throughout high school, I was constantly taking classes that would push me to work harder, do more work and learn beyond what I believed I could. Advanced and AP classes taught me so much of what I still use in college to succeed. Everything from note taking, study techniques, getting homework done on time, and memorization skills. These are the lessons I hope to pass down to the children I am allowed to tutor.

I wholeheartedly believe that people should not spend time on anything that does not fill them with passion and love! That is why my days are spent doing what I love all of the time. Foremost, my current job is one of my hobbies, working with plants! There I work on watering, cleaning up, and planting various plants. On my days off, I spend my time reading novels and writing my own! I also enjoy being outside doing absolutely anything. One of my biggest passions in life is traveling, I love it almost as much as I do tutoring!(:
