Hobbies
Tutoring is as much psychology as it is concepts. Most students invest too much effort for to little gain. I teach my students how to reorganize what they already know, so they can benefit from that knowledge. This is significant particularly in math. Students do not need to do more math problems, they need to discuss the concepts with an expert to see how the concepts fit together and are logical. I use a lot of humor and my students are always happy to see me.
