I am a tutor who believes in working closely with my students and developing a good working relationship with them. I find that once trust is established, it is much easier to learn, work, and celebrate in their achievements. I also try to incorporate games and other fun ways of learning into our lesson plans.As a teacher I spent a year teaching ELL in Vietnam. It was there that I began tutoring, and worked with students K-6th grade. I took away many new experiences from my time there, and eventually returned to Wisconsin where I taught English at the high school level at the Wisconsin International Academy. I've also worked with a relocation firm that assisted adults and children alike in learning English.I tutor students in ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, English, Essay Editing, College Essays, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Public Speaking, American History, Social Studies, Elementary and Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra and test prep, including ACT, SAT, PSAT, MAP, and GED.I earned my B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, where I majored in Middle Childhood-Early Adolescent Education and minored in TESOL.When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my young daughter, including taking her for walks with my dog, baking, cooking, and grilling food with my friends.
