I go to UW-Milwaukee. I was originally a Biology major with intentions of going into medical school; however, I changed to a major in English with a minor in Biology. I am a Senior and I will graduate in spring of 2015.
Experience
My tutoring experience is fairly varied. It ranges from teaching K5 scholars the fundamentals of phonics to editing collegiate level essays. I want to be a tutor because I really enjoy helping students appreciate English. It makes me happy when someone's essay gains more depth and they can voice themselves on paper or identify with the symbolism in a book. I got a 30 on my ACT and my English score was a 34. I have won a few writing contests in the regional area and I also have a written commendation from the dean of the English department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
