Experience
I am an experienced tutor working with all types of students from remedial to post-college students and from all types of backgrounds. I particularly enjoy tutoring in Latin, English grammar, reading comprehension, writing, history, literature, and other humanities areas. I have also done some math, but my strengths are more in the humanities, time management and organization. I have also taught an ACT prep class in the past. I have much experience in working with middle and high school students of varying backgrounds, including those from lower-income schools and neighborhoods. I also have experience in working with those with ADD and ADHD. However, I also have been a teaching assistant at the graduate school level and have the ability to explain complex theoretical concepts in ways that are simple to understand. Having worked with many different types of students, I realize that while the learning process is a unique one, each student has things in common as well.
