Charles E.
Private tutor in Milwaukee, WI
Education
My name is Charlie, and I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School. My undergraduate degree was in Pure Mathematics, which I received from Rollins College. My master’s degree is in Management Science and Operations, which I received from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.
Experience
Regarding grades, I received a 3.7 GPA in both my high school education and my undergraduate education. In, my master’s degree, I scored over 70, which is the US equivalent to an A. As you can probably tell by my undergraduate degree, my specialty is mathematics. However, I also scored above the 90% percentile in my overall GRE score: 166 in Verbal Reasoning, 163 in Quantitative Reasoning. Because of my score on the GRE, I was able to acquire a position as a GRE/ACT tutor. I spent two years tutoring for the ACT and GRE, as well as for various high school-level mathematics courses and introductory college mathematics courses. Regarding math tutoring, I have helped students in calculus, probability and statistics, precalculus, geometry, algebra 2 and algebra 1. I also have taught a full course in Marketing at the undergraduate level.

Hobbies
I like to have a low-stress environment with my tutoring, and therefore I don’t like tutoring in situations where there is ‘only a week until the test!’ What I look for in students is someone who wants to learn and is willing to take the time that is needed to learn. In return, I will do my best to ensure my students learn the material they need to learn without feeling like the world is falling down around them and they need to pull three all-nighters in order to pass the test. If you work hard good things happen, and if you prepare enough then you don’t need to be unhealthy to do well academically. Stay positive and keep learning. If you are looking at tutor bios like this one, it already shows you care and that goes a long way. You got this, and if you want a little help then contact me and we will set up an introductory session.
