Experience
I started tutoring during my junior year in college. I discovered how much I enjoyed helping others achieve their educational goals, and decided I wanted to continue doing so. I believe the best way to approach problems is to break them down and make them as simple as possible for the student learning them. Relating to the material and seeing how it applies to real-life situations is important. If I can turn fear of a subject into fun, I've done my job. I earned my bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. Presently, I'm working in a research lab for Neuropsychology at the same University, and planning on getting into the school's program for Clinical Psychology, where I will earn a Ph.D. I help students learn subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Elementary and Middle School Math, College English, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Grammar, Psychology, Arithmetic, Social Sciences, and offer assistance as students' study for tests like the ACT, the GRE or the SAT. I can work on summer tutoring to get ready for a fall session or provide homework support for those who need it. Outside of teaching, I love anything to do with photography and cats. I also love learning about art.
