Private tutor in Milwaukee, WI
Milwaukee School of Engineering - Bachelors, Actuarial Science
I'm attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering for my undergraduate degree in actuarial science. I am an avowed lifelong learner, and I love discovering new things. As an educator, I'm knowledgeable about math, a strong communicator, a skilled leader and motivator, and am equipped with teaching strategies that are effective. After graduating from high school, I worked for several months, gaining experience in independent living, working, and networking. I worked plenty of overtime as an entry-level employee, and I learned my lesson about the value of education. I then went back to school. My renewed vigor for education allowed me to develop great study habits and learning skills. I am self-motivated in learning, and I find that I am able to help students develop motivation to learn for themselves. While attending school, I also work for a grinding company. My position allows me to perform business analyses such as cost-benefit analysis for the production of steel parts. I get to present the results of my analysis to stakeholders and managers in the company. I also get to teach computer literacy and Microsoft Excel courses to my co-workers. I've discovered that I really enjoy combining business applications and math, so I'm looking to pursue a career in investment banking once I receive my degree. As a tutor, I can assist students in algebra, calculus, middle school math, pre-calculus, basic computer topics like HTML and BASIC, pre-algebra, and related subjects. In my free time, I enjoy programming, hockey, and snowboarding.
