Experience
My love of history ignited in 6th grade by my social studies teacher, and since then I have loved learning and teaching others. At Marquette, I studied an eclectic array of history subjects, from Western Civilization to American History to Middle Eastern to Art History. Studying abroad in Rome helped me hone in on my love of Art History, and I am planning on pursuing a Master's Degree in Art History and Library Sciences. Studying public history, my internships at the Sheboygan and Milwaukee County Historical Societies, and my job at the Milwaukee Public Museum taught me how to take what I love about academia history and translate it to the public in a way that is understandable and enjoyable. Although I studied History in college, in high school I also enjoyed and excelled at math. History and math normally aren't grouped together, but I love wrestling with facts in order to find the right answer, or a proposed right answer. Also in high school, I took AP European History (test score: 4) and AP Calculus AB.

Hobbies
I believe I am a well-rounded, easy-going person which is reflected in my hobbies and interests! I love learning new languages - I studied Spanish in high school and college, Italian in college, and since graduating have taken up learning German. I love to read and listen to music on my turn table. Recently I started getting into cooking - Chopped being on Netflix now has been a great inspiration for my stomach and kitchen. I also love art and collecting maps of the all the places I have traveled to, my apartment walls look like an atlas mixed with an art gallery. For physical activities, I like to go for walks down by the lake, practice yoga, and play tennis. Summertime in Milwaukee is my favorite - free music, Brady Street Festival, Summer Soulstice, Summerfest (the most wonderful time of year!), and the city coming out of hibernation makes me love Milwaukee every year and reminds me why I stick out the horrible winters.
