Private tutor in Milwaukee, WI
Education
Senior at Marquette University studying Secondary Education and History, with a minor in Social Studies(emphasis on Political Science) 2.85 GPA in college, and a 3.69 in high school. ACT score- 29
Experience
Being an education major, I have been placed in 5 different schools and have worked with children in 5th through 11th grades. I have also held a job at one of my placements in which I was in charge of the before and after school programs and worked with students ages 4-13. These experiences have allowed me to gain a better understanding of how to form educational relationships with students and not only tutor them, but at times mentor them as well. The classes that I have taken include Middle School, Literacy in the Content Areas, Social Studies Practicum, and Special Needs in Education. Some History courses I have taken include, American History, a paper seminar on the Middle East, a readings seminar on the African Diaspora, Modern Ireland, the French Revolution, and World War I, to name a few. I have also learned that integrating humor into learning helps to keep the lesson light, and easier to understand for some.

Hobbies
I am a fairly out going person who loves music, history, and light discussion/debates on current events and situations. I can play guitar, saxophone, and drums and was a band geek in high school. I enjoy watching hockey and cheering the Blackhawks on to their next Stanley Cup. I plan to begin to collect vinyl records because some albums deserve more than just a play on youtube or spotify. My grandparents own a second home up in Door County, WI in which I love going to and enjoying long hikes in the woods or along the lake. Overall, I feel as if I have a very diverse personality in which I can hopefully use while forming educational relationships with my students in the future.
