Hobbies

I love being creative and using these skills to make beautiful things. My creativity comes through in my teaching style and supplemental projects that give a hands-on approach to learning. I also enjoy the outdoors and love to camp, hike and ride horses. I also spend a lot of my time walking my dog and fixing up my 1890's house. My well rounded, active personality reflects in my teaching style. I am very perceptive to individual needs and learning styles. I am very thorough in my teaching and strive for my students to fully comprehend what they are learning (compared to memorization and short-cut methods). I think its important to take the time to back track to past concepts and, when needed, basic skills to ensure that each individual has not missed a step. Learning is a process and very individual. Through my various teaching experiences I have collected and created many presentations, note packets, reading articles, worksheets, quizzes and tests, and supplemental projects to help your student learn if they are currently struggling with the materials presented by his/her teacher. I am also very familiar with the content presented in WI high schools, the state standards your child needs to master, and relaying science content to high school aged students. If your child needs individual help to increase their grade, test scores, comprehension of materials, help on projects, and/or tune their study skills I am confident I can be of assistance.
