Benjamin C.
Private tutor in Milwaukee, WI
Education
Graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.3 GPA) from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
I am very fortunate to have a naturally sense for math. I started tutoring in High School, helping friends of the family who were younger than me and struggled with Middle School Algebra and Geometry. During college, I became a paid tutor in Florida A&M University's Mathlab during my sophomore year but took a break during my Junior year in order to focus on my studies. I resumed tutoring during my senior year in the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering CASE Lab for numerous mid-level engineering classes. One of the reasons why I love tutoring is that I love to see the look on my students faces when the light bulb clicks and they finally understand the materials. I know for a fact that once I retire from my career, I would like to become a teacher either at the High School or College level.

Hobbies
When I'm not working, I'm generally training as an Amateur Kickboxer. I am currently 2-0 and I plan on staying undefeated. I love the sport and it has helped me gain a sense of discipline that no other sport had cultivated. I am also the Vice President for the Milwaukee Profession Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. In this role I have launched a volunteering program in Bradley Tech High School which I'm hoping to expand to nearby high schools.
